Volunteer for Children’s Health

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and make a difference in the lives of others. The Activities Department at CHONC Pediatric Hospital & Saratoga Pediatric Sub-Acute are always in need of dedicated volunteers and donations to help support our programs.

Areas for volunteering include special events, assist with activity groups, one-on-one playtime with patients (i.e. reading, arts and crafts, music, etc.), and administration duties (i.e. organizing and cleaning play spaces).

General Qualifications for Volunteers:
  • Two or three hour shift per week for a minimum of three months
  • Minimum of 16 years of age to volunteer
  • Proof of a COVID-19 vaccination
  • Potential volunteers may not be related to a resident at CHONC

Volunteers are expected to be able to work a two or three hour shift per week for a minimum of three months and are assigned to a specific department in the hospital.  Assignments lasting less than three months may be acceptable as determined by the Volunteer Coordinator
